How to Play
- Each player chooses 5 cards for their hand.
- Flip a coin to decide who goes first.
- The game is played on a 3 by 3 grid.
- Place cards one at a time, switching between players until the grid is full.
- The first player places the orientation of the first card, then all other cards must be played in that direction
- Whenever you first place a card, put your color of control token on that card
- You gain control of cards your opponent controls by placing a card with a higher number adjacent to it.
Numbers range from 1 to X (X represents 10). - The winner is whoever controls the most cards at the end of the match.
- Control tokens can be substituted for coins, buttons, anything that can be used to keep track of which card belongs to which player.
- You can play with cards face up in your hand by default or choose to hide them.
– VARIANT RULE 1: TYPES –
- Each card has a color that represents a type.
- Red beats green, green beats blue, and blue beats red.
- If you play a card that beats another card’s type, add 1 to your card’s numbers for that turn.
- Types do not subtract numbers for being weaker, only gain +1 for being a stronger type
– VARIANT RULE 2: TIE CONTROL –
With this rule in play, if you play a card with a matching number adjacent, you control the opposing card.
Make your own variant rules. Chain controls for crazy outcomes, or control cards if your number is the lower. Whatever you come up with, make the game your own
