Born in the foothills of north Georgia, Logan grew up wandering the woods of his rural home with his friends while making up his own adventures. He grew up reading fantasy novels such as the Redwall series and Harry Potter. These books, and several others like them fueled his imagination to great heights. As he reached college age, that love for adventure led him to tabletop gaming, where he quickly attached to the role of Game Master. Crafting worlds of epic proportions came naturally to him. One of the worlds he created for such a game was Hammerhold. This cold, unforgiving land inspired by Norse and Celtic mythology gave his players a vibrant setting for great acts of heroism for many years. It was only natural for him to desire to write down the stories of the heroes of legend in that world. Thus, Hammerhold Tales was born.
Logan now writes as an author for the sake of telling the stories of the heroes and villains that shape Hammerhold’s history. He loves sharing his tales with all who will listen. For him, being an author is an outlet for great stories built around great principles and exciting concepts. He believes that heroes and villains can be seen from every angle in Hammerhold. He strives to illustrate that the same figure that shines a light can also cast a shadow.
Logan also strives to write stories that are free of the harmful content of many modern writers, while still keeping the stories poignant and meaningful. He describes his works as Fantasy Stories by a Christian Author. This does not mean his books carry an overarching Christian message, because that is not exactly the case. He views his works like Tolkien viewed the Lord of the Rings. While the stories of Middle Earth were penned by a religiously minded man, they were not meant to be books on religion. Logan’s writing aims to bring fun and exciting fantasy adventure to a new generation without the language and sexual overtones of many modern writers. He believes that stories of heroes should be for everyone and strives to make that a reality.
